Through our strategic partnership with Aquasys.
A global leader in high-pressure water mist technology, Hall & Kay now deliver next-generation fire suppression systems.
Our water mist systems use only water, no chemicals nor additives, to rapidly cool, control, and extinguish fires across a wide range of environments. Combining Aquasys’ world-class engineering with Hall & Kay’s decades of fire protection expertise, we’re redefining how organisations safeguard people, property, and operations.

When you may need a water mist system

Compliance & Standards.
Water mist performance is verified through application-specific fire test protocols (FTP) under BS EN 14972 Parts 2 to 17.
These define the fire scenarios, conditions, and pass/fail criteria a system must meet to be approved for use in specific building types.

Performance in High-Heat Fires.
Water mist solutions use ultra-fine droplets to absorb heat more effectively and cool the environment faster, making it particularly effective for fires with very high heat outputs, including those involving flammable liquids, electrical equipment, and industrial materials.

Designed for Space-Constrained Environments.
Water mist systems use a fraction of the water volume, compared to traditional sprinkler systems, meaning storage and distribution systems are significantly smaller and lighter. That makes them easier to integrate into existing structures, retrofit into older buildings, and install where space is limited, all without compromising protection.
How Water Mist Works?
Our high-pressure water mist systems disperse ultra-fine droplets that absorb heat, displace oxygen, and penetrate even the most difficult-to-reach areas. This three-dimensional suppression effect means fires are brought under control faster, and with minimal collateral damage.

Rapid
Response.
Ultra-fine mist suppresses fires quickly and cools the environment fast.

Minimal
Damage.
Less water = less clean-up and lower repair costs.

Highly
Adaptable.
Effective on solid, liquid, and electrical fires, even in ventilated spaces.

Environmentally Responsible.
Just water, no chemicals, no residues. Less water waste.

How Water Mist Works?
Our technical expertise, delivery certainty, and sustainability focus make us the partner of choice for complex, high-performance projects.

Comfortable with the Complex.
We thrive where others hesitate, delivering bespoke fire protection systems for challenging environments, from underground tunnels to sensitive heritage sites.

A Tried and Tested Delivery Process.
From design and engineering through to installation, commissioning, and maintenance, our end-to-end process guarantees quality, reliability, and performance at every stage.
Technical Excellence, Delivered with Passion.
Our team’s depth of knowledge ensures that every system is optimised to meet your unique fire risk profile without compromise.

Strategic Partnership with Aquasys.
By combining Hall & Kay’s UK-wide delivery capability with Aquasys’ cutting-edge European innovation, we bring global technology to your doorstep.

Suitable by Design
→ Reduced water use: Fine atomisation means less water is required, cutting waste and post-fire clean-up.
→ Lower embedded carbon: Compact, lightweight systems use less material and energy, helping you meet net zero goals.
→ Less damage: Reduced water volume can help to minimise damage to equipment, infrastructure, and the environment.

What we do.
We deliver complete, end-to-end fire protection solutions.
Our in house engineering expertise, trusted delivery process, and nationwide support network mean were with you every step of the way, from initial concept to ongoing system performance.
Design
Every building, operation, and fire risk profile is unique. That’s why our process starts with a detailed consultation, site assessment, and risk analysis to understand your specific requirements. Our expert design engineers then create a bespoke solution tailored to your building layout, occupancy type, and operational needs, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and optimising system performance.
We use advanced hydraulic modelling and 3D design tools to ensure every nozzle, pump, and pipe is perfectly positioned to deliver maximum suppression efficiency with minimum disruption.
Install
Our installation teams are experienced in delivering complex water mist projects across a wide range of environments from live operational sites and sensitive heritage buildings to new-build commercial developments and large-scale infrastructure projects.
We take ownership of every stage, coordinating seamlessly with other contractors and stakeholders to ensure installation is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Because water mist systems require less pipework and storage space than traditional sprinklers, installation is often quicker, simpler, and less disruptive, ideal for retrofit projects or constrained environments.
Maintain
A water mist system is a critical life safety asset, and like any essential system, it needs expert care to perform at its best. Hall & Kay provides comprehensive maintenance and servicing solutions to keep your system fully compliant, reliable, and ready to respond.
Our nationwide service network offers:
- Scheduled preventative maintenance and testing
- 24/7 emergency response and technical support
